In 2015, The Anti-Defamation League chose Jonatas Chimen as Artist of the Year. As a result, the solo exhibit Journey: A Visual Narrative by Jonatas Chimen, curated by Suzane Khalil, Ph.D., was born. Below, you find the art collection that composed Journey. The series reveals an introspective narrative that tells of Chimen's  first-hand experience of coming into the light of freedom after his family endured centuries of secretly sustaining a crypto-Judaic heritage. The tale depicted by the artist can be universally experienced and appreciated as a narrative about protecting and embracing Identity.
