exile archetypes
The Exile Archetypes Series is a cast aluminum collection composed of 9 lifesize sculptural pieces, which features cultural annihilation through assimilation and hybridization. This collection, highlighted at the 2015 Miami Art Week, portrays technology as a symbol of the constant outside interference present in modern human existence. Although this piece seems to provide a dark outlook on humanity’s condition, the artist suggests a positive view through the narrative; as the final piece in the series affirms that redemption is indeed possible, as long as one is willing to embark on a challenging journey of self-repair.
